This is what's inside: Augusta's box in February 2021

Das ist drin: Augustas Box im Februar 2021 - Augustas Box

This cheese is in it

1. Coeur de Neufchâtel
Raw milk from the cow.
Region: Normandy.
This very popular heart-shaped cheese was long ago offered to English soldiers by Norman peasant women. We love its white moldy bark and chalky interior. It tastes aromatic and nutty.
2. Cantal
Raw milk from the cow.
Region: Auvergne.
A majestic cheese. At 2,000 years old, it is the oldest cheese in Auvergne. It was previously used as a means of payment by exchanging cheese for wine. An impressive cheese weighing around 40 kilograms with a piquant, spicy taste.
3. Rouelle de Brebis
Raw milk from sheep.
Region: Occitania.
A round, soft cheese with a nice taste of sheep's milk. It is made by hand in the Marty cheese factory. This cheese is one of our new discoveries that we would like to share with you.
4.Bleu de Termignon (large box only)
Raw milk from the cow.
Region: Savoie.
We could tell you many stories about this cheese. He is very rare! It is made in the mountains at an altitude of more than 2000m by just three families and is the only natural blue cheese in the world. More in the blog!
5. St. Félicien (large box only)
Raw milk from the cow.
Region: Isère.
One of our favorites, a cheese for connoisseurs! Creamy, powerful, delicious and sometimes flowing so you can enjoy it with a spoon. There are many adjectives to describe this fatty cheese (60% fat in dry matter).
6. Petit Gaugry (large box only)
Pasteurized cow's milk.
Region: Bourgogne.
He is a little strong man from the Gaugry family. An overall strong cheese that can still mature for a few weeks. During maturation it is rubbed with Marc de Bourgogne. As it matures it becomes increasingly stronger.

This wine is included

1. Duché D'Uzes Blanc
White wine
Region: Pays d'Oc
Grapes: Voignier 50%, Grenache blanc 30%, Roussanne 20%
A perfect wine for creamy or strong cheeses. The combination of the three grape varieties gives this wine a great, complex aroma. Its beautiful golden color announces fruity notes to the nose.
2. Mas Las Cabes (only in the large box)
red wine
Region: Languedoc Roussillon
Grapes: Syrah 50%, Grenache noir 30%, Carignan 10%, Mourvèdre 10%
Organic wine
A very well-made wine from the Gardiès family. A red wine with floral and fruity notes, not too aggressive. It goes well with Bleu de Termignon or small Gaugry.

There was this sausage

Fuet with hazelnuts(only if ordered)
A pork sausage with nuts. The nuts are collected in the Grenoble area and give this Spanish sausage a nice, crunchy touch.
