This cheese is in it
1. Chabichou from the Loire
Raw goat milk. Small in size but big in taste and with a long history. This goat cheese is the oldest cheese in the Loire region. It has a nice, strong aroma. Over time it acquires a slightly gray rind that is easy to eat. Let yourself be seduced.
2. Livarot from the Calvados region
Raw milk from the cow. The "Colonel" of cheese. The name comes from the five small ribbons tied around it - similar to a "colonel's" uniform. It was one of the most popular cheeses in France before it was dethroned by Camembert. An excellent cheese with a strong aroma.
3. Bleu de Laqueille from Auvergne
Pasteurized cow's milk. One of the stars among Auvergne cheeses. It will make everyone happy because it is made with pasteurized milk. Its maturation period of more than 90 days gives it a powerful and melting character. He needs fruity, round and even sweet wines to accompany him.
4. Abondance from Savoie (only in the large box)
Raw milk from the cow. The little brother of the Beaufort, it has the same concave shape that was used for transport. It is often still done on the mountain pastures. The cheese has an amber-colored rind and a fruity, nutty aroma. It is a cheese with a firm dough. It can be enjoyed with a fruity and dry white wine such as Chardonnay.
5. Tomme à la bière from Savoie (only in the large box)
Raw milk from the cow. At first it is a normal Tomme de Savoie, but it is rubbed with water, salt, beer from the Bauges and hops and after two months of aging you can feel the bitterness of the hops and the beer. This Tomme will taste perfect with the Bergerac Cuvé des Conti.
6. Coulommiers from the "Seine et Marne" region (only in the large box)
Raw milk from the cow. Here is a cheese that needs to be rediscovered. Unfortunately, today it is too industrialized and is made from tasteless pasteurized milk. We would like to introduce you to the original version, which is made from raw milk and has a nice nut and mushroom aroma. A real treat!
This wine is included
White wine: "Chardonnay Preignes les neufs" from Languedoc
The Preignes les neufs winery is a certified member of Terra Vitis, an environmentally certified network of several hundred winemakers. Here we introduce you to a fresh and delicate 100% Chardonnay. A fine wine with a floral aroma. Our wine expert Sébastien appreciates this Chardonnay grape variety, which goes well with cheeses such as Abondance or goat cheese. The wine also makes very strong cheeses a little milder.
Red wine: "Cuvée des Conti" from Bergerac Sud Ouest (large box only)
Grapes: 40% Merlot, 60% Malbec. A fruity wine with a good energy. Beautiful notes of blackberry and blackcurrant, with a floral touch. A wine that makes you want to pour yourself another drink. It goes perfectly with Livarot, Tomme à la bière and, if you like, Coulommiers.
